"i really dislike nikons though - i've never held one that wasn't horrible," he said.

he may have been bantering. he may have simply lacked enlightenment. but if he hadn't been sitting safely in another country, a good swift tug on his beard would have been my instinctive response.
as it was, i merely bleated.

  2. Beautiful, using DOF and overexposing slightly you bring out the eyes nicely.
Hey, I own 2 Canons and 1 Nikon. I love all of my photo machines. Each has its character.

  3. Or maybe nobody told him he was using them upside down :D
I'm having GREAT fun each time I look at this photo Lynn... it's just SO fun, and as said, the use of dof is great here.
Thank you for the laugh before I go to sleep ! :)

  5. I think this is a good goat who has been misrepresented.

  6. Nice capture and expression, did you ask her to pose? I like your musings.

  7. Hi Lynn!
I agree, Nikon is nice, Nikon is good. Very nice picture, the selective DOF really draws you to the goats eyes and the composition and perspective make for a humorous image.
I don't think I've replied to your blog before but I just wanted to chime in and say I always enjoy reading your musings and ramblings - and not in the least, seeing your pictures.
And, by the way, I've kept my promise and started a blog myself ;-) Not sure if I'll be free in September though, but I'll let you know!
    Take care,

  8. She looks so worried! Maybe she didn't like being on the other side of a camera, I know that happens to me sometimes...

  9. What an opinionated goat! Perhaps he doesn't like what the Nikon bokeh does to his food ;)

  10. I like the beady-eyes of a mouse better than the glass-like eyes of the goat. They are much cuter, and the ears too :-)

  11. I love this photo as I love all your work.
I like how you capture daily objects, people, 'stuff' always with a unique perspective and look to them. :)
