the heart of the country
my husband is very dear to me, and i assume that i am just as dear to him.
if i weren't, he probably wouldn't sacrifice half a clear crisp sunday - like yesterday - to drive poor license-less me somewhere photogenic , and then precede me patiently while i wander, distracted and delighted by all manner of reflections..
and still lives...
and gables.....
little miracles of nature...
and endless and glorious views.
i count my blessings constantly.

What would we do without the people who make it possible for us to go and take photos?! Nice tribute to your husband! :) And very nice photos!
ReplyDeleteGreat gables, Lynn. Marken?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, I especially love the leaf. :)
ReplyDeleteI often feel self-conscious when fiddle-faddling around ... one side then the other ... let's stop again here ... but my companion seems content ... and delights in my delight ... I do love the clouds here Lynn ... Holland is a truly beautiful country ...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful series, Lynn! I love the leaf...there's a giant spider web on my front porch that I've been trying to catch, but it doesn't seem to want to be photographed. I'm always envious of those who can capture webs nicely.
ReplyDeletei totally picture him in my mind. :-) beautiful shots.
ReplyDeletesuper impressions of your beloved country
ReplyDeleteby framing your subject in a special way or cutting the image you make the scene even greater (only by letting suppose the viewer there is a lot more outside the frame)
btw... most of the time it's thanks to someone we can do what we want to do...
~that first shot caught my eye immediately; I /eye am a sucker for reflex shots~
ReplyDeleteDonde esta el "heart of the country" with a shoreline like this?
ReplyDeleteGreat series, but putting out all this finery at once is a waste!
They're all fantastic, with great saturation -- but I think I like the post-peak plant most, probbaly because of the contrast in colors from the effect of the sunshine fading some parts, darkened by the shadows.
All very nice!
I love these shots! Especially the 2nd one....For some reason it just speaks to me....
ReplyDeletethe last pic;
ReplyDeletelooks about 10kts
You started off looking at the ground but I'm happy to see you tried the other way too. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi there Lynn! Thanks for your regular visits at my flog. I am always happy to see your comments there. I am also glad you like the new layout. Regarding your question: I found the sculpture in a park in a town named Ludwigsburg
ReplyDeleteGreat series. The 1st and last shots are my favorites. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat series and a nice tribute.... it makes me remember to thank everyone who has been out with me as they patiently put up with my curiosities. :)
ReplyDeleteSpouses of photographers are an amazing lot, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI like these. Simple, but great compositions. Every picture has something special in it.
ReplyDeleteDutch clouds can be sooo great... and Dutch leaves too ;-)
