ron posted a lovely
holga image a couple of weeks ago, and confessed to gradually gaining insight into the workings of that
little plastic camera.
my insight is still sorely lacking, unfortunately, and my success rate is still lamentably low. i do like this particular photo, but, admittedly, it's hard to mess up such glorious subject matter.
*ahem*
well.....hard, but not impossible.
I think your Holga is the perfect camera for photographing those fields of tulips. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteAt least you've managed to prevent light leaks in your Holga. I haven't been so lucky.
What a lovely way to start my morning, Lynn, with beautiful fields and a chuckle!
ReplyDeleteaha! i see we're thinking alike!
ReplyDeletewell... i prefer the second one. true. it feels like a tapestry and give more deep to the idea of tulips.
ReplyDeleteWow! I *love* the action happening in this composition. Amazing!
ReplyDeletei have to tell you while I do really like the first one I think the second is even better. Double exposures can be fantastic.
ReplyDeletethe double exposure is great! don't worry about the rules of photography.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with most of the previous posters here ... I like the first one but i love the second one! Well done Lynn! :)
ReplyDelete~when I view that first image i keep hearing the lyrics by the Who going through my head.."I can see for miles, and miles, i can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and milessssss"~
ReplyDeletehere's to more holga shots & happy accidents!
ReplyDeleteI do love me some tulips...so much so, that I literally gasped when I saw that field. Like the second shot, too. :)
ReplyDeleteI adore especially the second photo!
ReplyDeleteI adore tulips and holga combination is incredible beautious :) but I must confess I absolutely adore your mess up ... most beautiful mess I have ever seen :)
ReplyDeleteWow, the double exposure shot is excellent!
ReplyDeletewow, very surrealistic.
ReplyDeleteI think I have had too many beers.
Holy SH*T. I don't even know what the 2nd shot is but I am AMAZED by the first one. Like the Nation Geo Traveller Mag: Where in the World Are You? Well, you could only be in Holland, no? BEAUTIFUL.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely gorgeous!!!!
ReplyDeleteoh my. i am speechless. beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOhy my.... Oh my ... oh so beautiful -- both images!
ReplyDeletethese shots are just beautiful - love the dual exposure on the bottom - it's sort of dream-like.
ReplyDeletei haven't used my holga or lomo since moving to germany - hard to believe that it's going to be three years this september!
maybe we should bring them to london and do some holga shots?
