this careful eating has me craving sweetness; this full agenda has me lost for words; this weary winter has me longing for the scents, the songs, the colours of spring.
my disgruntlement is minor, though, and my distress negligible, so a kind email -
and an envelope of images that looked just as i'd hoped they might - was more than enough to make my day smile.
Ha, know what you mean.
ReplyDeleteLike the flowers.
What a nice little garden! And it won't be long, I've already smelled hints of spring in the air...
ReplyDelete~I too await the return of spring, of baseball and cracker jack, the smell of freshly cut grass at the ballpark, the crack of the bat when the ball its it, the umpire yelling "yerrr out", you and I both are in the same boat, too bad that boat can't go any faster and bring spring tomorrow!~
ReplyDeleteDid you notice that the middle letter, in the graffiti, looks like a sideway hart? Sideway love...
ReplyDeleteYour pictures, and your spare, precise words ALWAYS "make my day smile." Lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnd this green has me dreaming of spring. Have you seen "The Vertical Ray of the Sun" by Anh Hung Tran. If not, you should...it is a feast for the eyes, just like these luscious teases of spring you have posted. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGreat statement of faith. I especially like the near chaotic busyness of the top shot and the vivid greens in the last one.
ReplyDeleteI think I will have to move and set up a new house just so I will have wall space for a print of the top picture - - !
ReplyDeleteI love the intensity of the colors, and the implied warmth of being inside. It's really a great shot, Lynn!
I love the square format and the warm colors in these shots. What time is High Tea in Amsterdam?
ReplyDeleteHello, lovely Lynn! I was offline for about a month (computer crashed)...but I'm here to check in and see what you've been up to since mid-January...hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteThe top one so reminds me of my grandmother. She would take me out for scones and tea, as a special treat. With jam and cream, of course.
ReplyDeleteso lovely. i especially love the high tea one - makes me think of warm crumpets with syrup and butter. mmm.
