thicket by thicket
"never continue in a job you don't enjoy.
if you're happy in what you're doing, you'll like yourself, you'll have inner peace. and if
you have that, along with physical health, you will have had more success than you could possibly have imagined."*
- johnny carson (american tv host, 1925-2005)
i not only need to like the work i do, i also need it to like me. i need to be sure that i can - and will - do it well.
it's not the first time i've followed my instincts, and made a decision like this.
i hope it's the last, though.

this photo is very good in a confusing way. I'm looking for th focus point and I cannot find it. I hope you have a good focus on your life and carreer.
ReplyDeleteBut you are very right, of course. I couldn't do a job anymore that I don't like or that doesn't like me.
I haven't really done that up until now. So I hope I never have to start.
Whatever you do, decide, have done, decided: good luck!
This is like a stained glass window, and it opens on a beautiful world of possibilities waiting for Lynn!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm. Wise man, that Carson :)
this quote speaks o me ... thank you and the photograph, divine!! xo
ReplyDeleteI like the possibilities this photo speaks of. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you for finding and commenting on my blog so I could in turn find you. I'll be back.
You are very right! Life is too short to spend your life in a job you are not happy with. Even you blog suffered.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you'll find something else, maybe closer to yor home.
Oh, you...how'd you know that's the exact quote I needed to hear right now?! (Said by one of my all-time faves, too!) ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the photo.
I love your view of life beyond the tangle. It can be a bit like that at times!
