ready for the rain

"the trouble with weather forecasting is that it's right too often for us to ignore it and wrong too often for us to rely on it."
- patrick young

the skies here have been inscrutable lately: sunny and serene one moment, glowering and aggressive - teemingly so - the next.
preparing for a day out and about has become an art.

  1. ha, the picture has orange in it :-)
great background and the right exposure.
Garbage sang: "I'm only happy when it rains".

  2. Indeed orange again, and it clashes nicely with the red of the chair. I like the painter's intense look.

  3. "Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything
    about it."
    -Mark Twain
All the orange is wonderful. It certainly looks like you found a sunny and serene moment for this one. Great light.

  4. Mister painter has the intent expression of the masters of old. His hands are the rough hands of somebody that builds, creates, transforms the matter, the marble maybe, the paint, through the sapient use of his crafts. I would like to see his painting... he sure knows his business and looks prepared for any occurrence... including the rain.
    Am I reading too much?

  5. your eye for colourcompositions is always there!
wish your daughter a happy birthday (remember her last years' birthday when i saw this now... strange)
