Lynn, What is the ij please? If this is sunrise, then we are facing east, yes? So we are looking from open water into a working harbour. Yes? Very bleak weak light isnt it?
the ij is the river that runs behind central station in amsterdam.. the tall construction going on in the background is to do with development around the passenger terminal, where the cruise ships dock. this was taken looking back over my shoulder on my way to work at about 8 a.m. a couple of weeks ago. is it weak? i never really thought about it, :-), all i did was crop and size!
*grin* My comment about the light was nowt to do with your photography skills. Here in Australia light is vibrant and full-on. This light looks ... barren.
